「集客」——これがレッスンを始めた頃の最大の課題でした。野菜販売、ワークショップ、カフェへのチラシ配布……。試行錯誤を重ねるなかで、見えてきた景色がいくつもあります。
"How do I gather students?" — that was the question of my early years. From vegetable markets to workshops to leaflets in cafés, I tried many things. And from that journey, certain views slowly came into focus.
茅ヶ崎のギフトショップとの出会い
A Meeting in Chigasaki
大きな転機となったのが、茅ヶ崎にある一軒のギフトショップとの出会いでした。ワイヤークラフトの先生のご紹介で単発レッスンが始まり、今では月3回の華道と花カフェレッスンを担当しています。場所を超えて広がるご縁が、こんなにも温かいものだとは、当時の私は知りませんでした。
A turning point came in the form of a small gift shop in Chigasaki. Through the introduction of a wire-craft instructor, single-session lessons began there — and today I lead three monthly classes, including a "flower café" lesson. The warmth of bonds that cross locations was something I did not yet understand back then.
カリグラフィー、そしてユニット「Story」
Calligraphy, and a Duo Called "Story"
同じショップでカリグラフィーを学び始め、その講師と意気投合して、ユニット「Story」を結成。花とカリグラフィーをかけ合わせたコラボレーション活動が始まりました。教えることと学ぶことは、どこまでも続いていく対の道——年齢を重ねても、その喜びは色あせません。
At the same shop I began studying calligraphy, and the camaraderie with my teacher led to forming a duo we named "Story." Together we began collaborations between flowers and lettering. Teaching and learning, I have come to feel, are inseparable companions on a long road — and their joy never fades.

New Stages Brought by Connections
様々な方とのご縁から、イベント出展やステージ登壇など、思いがけない機会をいただけるようになりました。サロンの中だけでは決して見られない景色を、外に出ることが教えてくれます。
Through the people I've met along the way, unexpected opportunities — events, stage appearances — began to arrive. Views I would never have seen from within the salon alone were given to me by stepping outside it.

集客に最も大切なのは、結局のところブログとSNSです。作品やレッスン風景だけでなく、私自身の日常やお仕事への姿勢まで発信していくこと。それが、まだ会ったことのない方に「人となり」を届けてくれます。そして何より——生徒さんからの口コミは「宝物」です。新しい方を最も確実に運んできてくださるのは、いつだって既にお越しくださっている方々の温かい言葉でした。
In the end, what matters most for gathering students is the blog and social media. Sharing not only finished works but also the rhythm of daily life and the spirit of one's craft — that is what lets a person, not yet met, sense who you are. And, above all, the voice of one's students is treasure. Those who came first have always brought the next with the warmth of their words.
